Decided to go all out for my inaugural post. I had never edited a video/recorded a game/made a gif until now, so I hope it’s as funny as my drunk self thought it was last night. Happy fathers day to all you dads out there too!

Needs Kinja’d at the end...
That aside, what game is it?
![]() 06/21/2015 at 15:57 |

Yup, I might make a Kinja’d edition if I have the time later.
The game is Assetto Corsa.

I chuckled. I give my stamp of approval.

I won’t spend it all in one place.

Did he beep while flying through the trees?
![]() 06/21/2015 at 16:16 |

Sure looks like it. Might be his hands returning from full lock but I like beep more.

I like it.

This is simply too funny for Oppo.

I wonder if 1.5 has any idea the traction he has here. And love that gif.

Best complement so far, thanks.

Posts like comments or actual posts

I’ve only seen your comments, but you did convince me to watch HTTYD which was kinda the best thing ever, so thanks for that.

Well... Did you watch the second one as well?
I was wondering about the post vs comment thing because you would not be the first to confuse me and Dwhite. I don’t really post anything but comments because I really don’t have much to contribute.

Never really mixed you and Dwhite up but I’m sure you could share some interesting stuff with us all.
Anyway, should I watch the second one? I’m always hesitant when it comes to squeals, and considering how high the bar was set with the first one(it’s near the top of my all time favorites list), I don’t want to ruin a great thing.

You should totally watch the second one. There’s some bad voice-over at the beginning but it’s a fun segment to watch (It’s a kids’ movie. What do you expect?). It has all of the charm of the first movie while somehow being darker and more tragic.
I wouldn’t watch the TV show. It was pretty bad and none of the plot is even mentioned in the second movie.

OK I didn’t want to reply until I watched it, and I just did.
It was fantastic. You were right about the eh dialogue early on but, when my biggest complaint after everything is that I don’t have a real Night Fury to fly, I can see past it. Definitely darker than the first film, but it added to the realism. I hope that Dreamworks follows through with their plan to make a 3rd in 2018.

I’m glad you liked it. I also think they should have ended it with the scene with the boat and then just “I’m sorry dad” and then ended the movie. But you can’t do that in a kids’ movie so immediate not-depressing scene. And they have to make a third. So many questions.

Right? I need to find out what happened to Drago. Anyway, thanks for introducing me to the series. If I’m ever in Birmingham I’ll give you a shout.

Also there’s been an issue that’s been bugging me since I watched the movie (opening day). Remember when his mom says “He very well may be the last of his kind.” about Toothless? Well what’s killing the Night Furies? Humans can’t. They hadn’t seen one until Hiccup with his weird net thing. Other dragons probably can’t because of the speed difference and how accurate they are at aiming their fire. I also hope something happens to Astrid because I hate her.
![]() 06/26/2015 at 14:20 |
|
That’s a good point. They didn’t mention anything in the first one about Night Furies being near extinct, and they shouldn’t have any real predators. And I’m kinda indifferent about Astrid. I guess young adult movies need a female protagonist companion, but she always seemed kinda bitchy to me.

She wasn’t even in the books (Yes there were. The only real thing that didn’t change was the name). She was made for the movie. Also, Hiccup is the only one who you actually see kill a dragon. Others talk about it but you don’t see it. It just gets hit and flies off. You see dragons kill dragons. And (maybe) dragons kill people but only Hiccup is seen killing a dragon.

Would you recommend the books? And that’s a good point. The battle with Red Death was pretty intense for a kids’ movie.

I don’t know. Never read them. I’ve been told that there’s no plot carried over from the books. Just the names and characters. The TV show is a definite skip.

I’ll probably stick with the movies then. I actually had an issue with the Bewilderbeast battle at the end of the second. When Toothless was glowing blue, was he doing some kind of dragon-super saiyan thing there? Because he fired more than 6 shots, which was until that point the accepted maximum for pretty much all dragons.
![]() 06/26/2015 at 15:53 |
|
Yeah that’s basically it. I personally didn’t like the glowing blue.

Right there with you. Now, as long as we’re talking about the movie your account is based off of, I have to ask:
Have you seen Ronin?

No?

You should check it out. Little slow at times but it’s a must see for car lovers. The chase scenes are some of the best in the movie industry.

This is amazing.
